Some snaps around Nurimaru, Busan

Here are some snaps around/from/in Nurimaru.
Nurimaru is located on Dongbaek Island, which is right next to Haeundae beach. It was the venue for the 2005 APEC meeting. The incredible views never get me bored.
Whenever you visit there, you can feel its vibe every season.
Enjoy my snaps :)

[TongYeong] My Weekend Gateaway To TongYeong

My friends and I went on a short trip to TongYeong on the last weekend of August. We hopped around there by car, so there won't be any information about public transportation and how to get there in this post.
It takes about 2 hours from Busan to TongYeong, which is not extremely far.

We had soybean paste soup with seafood(해물된장찌개) for lunch, which was an excellent choice. I enjoyed it, and you see there's abundant seafood? It's merely for two-people portion, and it is that much!. Next to seafood soup is sea urchin egg bibimbap in a hot bowl, which I really liked!
The name of this restaurant is 통영식도랑(TongYeong Sik-do-rak) which is already famous among travelers. It's near Central Market(중앙시장).

It's just above the Central Market. We walked from the restaurant to this village.

Personally, TongYeong Donpirang Mural Village is more beautiful than Gamcheon Cultural Village in Busan. I liked here more. Prettier paintings to see overlooking the small port :)
One famous thing here is those angel wings murals. It's like a 'signature' hot spot where everybody takes pictures after waiting in a line and makes their pictures as some profile pics on facebook or kakaotalk. Well, it used to look like a kind of cliche photo background to me, but it turned out such a photogenic place once I went there and saw the results with my own eyes.
I am short, but I look way taller than my actual height. haha

TongYeong is a very important place to historians as it is where General Lee Sun-Shin fought against Japan with his turtle ships and his brilliant tactics.

TongYeong is also famous for bread stuffed with red beans paste. Its name is 꿀빵(honey bread to be translated directly). It looks like Korean style doughnuts coated with sugar and stuffed with red beans. I did not take its pictures, and the picture above is Yuju bread. Southern Coast in Korean peninsula is famous for Yuju. I did not buy Yuju bread, which was, however, so sweet. When you visit TongYeong, try both of them!

The cable car(return trip) costs 9,000 KRW.
You will enjoy this view while in the cable car.

Walking 10-15 mins after getting off from the cable car, you will reach the summit of this mountain.(Mt.Mireuk/미륵산). Yes, the summit is only 461m, and you walked only 10~15 mins actually. However, summit is summit :) The views are amazing, and take a picture next to that stone :)

Wow! I did not expect this park to be so good! If it had not been cloudy, it would have been perfect.

TongYeong is more wonderful than I expected, and I missed some stuff that I planned to do/go. So, I want to visit there again :)

[German Village] Exotic European Houses Harmonized With a Beautiful Korean Countryside

There is German Village(독일마을) in Namhae, GyeongSangNamDo in Korea. It's the southern part of Korea, and it's about 2 hours away from Busan.
Namhae(남해) is actually an island, but thanks to the several bridges, it's not thought to be other typical islands like Dok-do or Jeju Island. (The official name is Namehae-do/Do means Island)
A number of Korean miners and nurses went to Germany to work in 1970s, and this German Village in Namhae was built for them, which means that those people who worked in Germany returned to Korea, and live here in German Village.
As my maternal grandmother lives in Namhae, (her house is really close to German Village), I have witnessed the transformation from the green hill to the exotic scenery.
At early stages, in houses with orange roofs once lived only those who worked in Germany and their spouses. When I visited here recently again, however, it turned to a town of cafes and pensions with the same looks, which I meant, the buildings with orange roofs.
Nevertheless, it is unquestionably a beautiful place with green hill(or mountains) at the back and blue blue sea in the front. Lots of people visit here, and stay here for a few days.
